Almacenamiento doméstico en Numancia (Garray, Soria) durante la II Edad del Hierro: una aproximación tipológica y social

Abstract

Los almacenes subterráneos domésticos son uno de los espacios que mejor conservan las evidencias arqueológicas de la Numancia celtibérica destruida en el 133 a. n. e. De ellos proceden, por ejemplo, gran parte de las denominadas cerámicas numantinas. Este artículo presenta cuatro contextos inéditos de almacenamiento excavados entre 1996 y 2014: un almacén anejo a una unidad doméstica, la excavación parcial de una bodega subterránea y dos alacenas. Plantea, además, una clasificación de los vasos cerámicos encontrados en su interior, identificándolos con tres usos fundamentales: consumo, cocina y almacenaje. Se presentan asimismo otros objetos que aparecieron en contextos de almacenamiento y relacionados con actividades artesanales como la textil o la producción de fíbulas. Finalmente, se reflexiona sobre la relevancia del almacenamiento en las sociedades de la II Edad del Hierro y su papel en la negociación social.
