Arquitectura y construcción tabicada en torno a Eduardo Sacriste

Abstract

En torno a la figura del arquitecto Eduardo Sacriste (1905-1999), conocido estudioso de la construcción abovedada, surgió en la arquitectura argentina de las décadas centrales del siglo XX una prolífica generación de arquitectos que levantaron edificios –viviendas principalmente– cubiertos con bóvedas tabicadas, o con ingeniosas variantes sobre este sistema. La mayor parte de estos edificios se estudian en Viviendas con bóvedas, un detallado estudio dirigido por Sacriste a finales de los anos 70. El interés de estas construcciones está no sólo en el uso que en ellas se hace de las bóvedas tabicadas clásicas sino también en las variantes ensayadas sobre este sistema. Estas variantes, que fueron disenadas en su momento para una zona concreta, han trascendido su condición local: la herencia de las viviendas construidas por la generación de Sacriste es patente, en la actualidad, en diversos proyectos internacionales cubiertos con estructuras ligeras de fábrica.
