La armada a Indias de Peralonso Niño en 1496

Abstract

En junio de 1496 partió de Cádiz una armada de tres naves comandada por Peralonso Niño con provisiones para la incipiente población castellana de La Española. El análisis de pasajes inéditos de documentos de archivo revela detalles desconocidos de esta expedición. Estos datos sientan las bases para un estudio futuro de la hipótesis de que Amerigo Vespucci viajase por vez primera al Nuevo Mundo a bordo de alguna de las tres naves de Niño.
