Abstract

Akademik dr. Dragotin Cvetko je utemeljitelj slovenske muzikologije v dvojnem smislu. Znanstveno je po drugi vojni prispeval temeljna zgodovinska dela o slovenski glasbi. Institucionalno je uresničil samostojen študij muzikologije na univerzitetni ravni in raziskave predvsem slovenske glasbe v za to ustanovljenem inštitutu. Mednarodno je sodil med vodilne muzikologe.
