Comparisons are carried out between the wave-induced motions and loads of a trimaran travelling at various forward speeds in regular head waves obtained using three-dimensional fluid-structure interaction models, treating the vessel both as rigid and flexible body. The concept of the trimaran requires estimation pf longitudinal loads, such as vertical bending moments, as well as transverse loads such as prying moment at the connection of the crossbeam to the main hull, in order to evaluate the dynamic response of the structure in waves.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 6 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
