Abstract

La publicité constitue une forme d’occupation et d’exploitation de notre ressource la plus précieuse, notre attention, laquelle est en passe de devenir une forme de capital tout aussi déterminante dans nos logiques socio-économiques que la forme argent. Les technologies de l’attraction développées à une échelle industrielle par les mass-medias (d’abord analogiques, puis désormais numériques) entraînent la mise en place d’un nouveau type de « capitalisme mental ». Dans cet article qui résume l’ouvrage qu’il lui a consacré, Georg Franck propose toute une batterie de concepts et de principes, à la fois puissants et fins, pour analyser les nouveaux modes d’exploitation et les nouvelles sources de conflits sociaux qui se mettent en place à cette occasion.
