Être co-parents après la séparation conjugale : approche psycho-sociale et développementale des expériences des parents et des beaux-parents

Abstract

Dans cet article, nous nous proposons d’explorer les expériences coparentales des parents et des beaux-parents dans le contexte de familles recomposées, en considérant les dimensions de soutien, de conflit, d’engagement et d’accord éducatif. Trois couples (trois parents et trois beaux-parents) ont participé au recueil des données par le biais d’entretiens semi-directifs. Les résultats indiquent des configurations coparentales différenciées selon les contextes de séparation conjugale et de recomposition familiale, ainsi que des dynamiques coparentales fonctionnelles entre les parents et les beaux-parents. Il est donc essentiel de ne pas isoler la trajectoire coparentale en recomposition familiale, d’une part des contextes de séparation et de recomposition, et d’autre part des trajectoires individuelles des membres qui composent la famille.
