Abstract

L'auto-immunite, c'est le fait de se proteger contre soi-meme : c'est-adire de se considerer soi-meme comme un etranger, ou un parasite : « l'autoinfection de toute auto-affection » {Voyous, 154). L'auto-immunite conduit donc a la mort par un suicide qui n'est pourtant pas « voulu ». Cette notion interesse Derrida (il lui accorde meme « une portee sans limite » Voyous, 175), non seulement parce qu'elle contribue a rendre indecidable et impensable le « propre » (cible principale de la philosophie de Derrida), mais aussi parce qu'elle met en cause circulairement la possibilite d'un soi-meme, d'un« auto » : « Ce que j'appelle l'autoimmunitaire ne consiste pas seulement a se nuire ou a se ruiner, (...) non pas seulement a se suicider, mais a compromettre la sui-referentialite, le soi du suicide meme.
