Dominando los Textos Argumentativos

Abstract

La enseñanza de la lengua debe contemplar el desarrollo de cuatro habilidades: escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir; estas dos últimas habilidades, diferentes y a la vez muy relacionadas, tienen su grado de complejidad en cuanto a su adquisición, porque, por un lado, la lectura supone procesos cognitivos complejos como la comprensión inferencial y crítica; y, por el otro, la escritura, supone la producción textual. En ese sentido, la lectura no puede ser concebida únicamente como una habilidad gráfico-fónica, sin eximir los méritos que esta tiene; y, la escritura, no puede ser concebida solamente como una herramienta para copiar lo que otro escribe o dicta. De modo que, dentro de las diferentes manifestaciones de la actividad lingüística, la escuela debe involucrarse necesariamente en dos procesos inherentes a esa actividad: la comprensión lectora y la producción textual. La primera alude a la búsqueda del sentido; y, la segunda, se refiere a cómo el estudiante genera significado para compartir conocimientos o vivencias.
