Responsabilidade civil, pós-humanismo, transumanismo e 'biohacking'

Abstract

No artigo se discute o tema do biohacking e suas implicações jurídicas em matéria de responsabilidade civil e de seus entrelaçamentos com o pós-humanismo e o transumanismo. O biohacking é uma prática que abrange uma ampla gama de atividades, desde a modificação de hábitos de vida até a manipulação genética. Alguns exemplos incluem o uso de suplementos alimentares, jejum intermitente, controle preciso da alimentação, utilização de dispositivos de monitoramento corporal, restrição alimentar, consumo de medicamentos anti-envelhecimento e smart drugs, entre outros. Essas práticas têm em comum a intenção de melhorar a eficiência física e mental ou até mesmo prolongar a vida, indo além da prevenção e cura de doenças. O biohacking se cruza com o transhumanismo, que é a busca da superação da humanidade por meio da evolução tecnológica com vistas a um futuro distópico em que a tecnologia terá impactos profundos no ser humano. O artigo reflete sobre a aceitabilidade dessas práticas e os dilemas éticos e jurídicos que surgem com o avanço do biohacking.
