Abstract

Die Festschrift umfasst 50 Beiträge internationaler Autorinnen und Autoren zu den Themenbereichen „Menschenwürde und Menschenrechte“, „Laien – Amt – Ordination“, „Religion in Staat und Gesellschaft“ sowie „Freiheit der Person“. Sie widerspiegeln die aktuellen Diskussionen, ohne kontroverse Themen wie die Stellung der Frau, verschiedene Formen von Missbrauch und die Reichweite der Religionsfreiheit auszusparen. Im Zentrum stehen das Kirchen- und das Religionsrecht, bereichert um interdisziplinäre Perspektiven. So wird sichtbar, wie die wissenschaftliche Gemeinschaft die Forschungsschwerpunkte des Jubilars aufgreift, der sich stets den Werten von Freiheit, Würde und Gerechtigkeit verpflichtet weiß. Nicht zuletzt liefert die Festschrift Anstöße für Rechtsreformen, wie sie den Zeichen der Zeit entsprechen und dem Jubilar stets ein Anliegen waren.
