„Ida”, utrata i wstyd

Abstract

W centrum debaty wokół Idy (2013) Pawła Pawlikowskiego został usytuowany problem wstydu. Starły się tu dwa dyskursy dotyczące polityki wstydu – emancypacyjny i etnonacjonalistyczny. Zgodnie z tym pierwszym, charakterystycznym dla lewicy i liberałów, film Pawlikowskiego nie zawstydza Polaków dostatecznie; z kolei krytycy prawicowi dowodzili, że utwór przekłamuje historię, by wpędzić nas, Polaków, we wstyd, chociaż nie ma, ich zdaniem, ku temu żadnych powodów. Sam film – choć porusza problem wstydu – koncentruje się głównie na afekcie smutku. Przedmiotem swego zainteresowania Jagielski czyni to, w jaki sposób film, odwołując się do estetyki filmów Szkoły Polskiej, wytwarza takie negatywne odczucia, jak utrata czy brak. Autor sytuuje Idę w ramach „kina nastroju”, by przemyśleć pozycję widza wobec ukazanych na ekranie obrazów. Film najpierw zaprasza nas do nawiązania empatycznej więzi z ocalonymi z Zagłady bohaterkami, by następnie kazać nam zderzyć się z radykalną pustką pozostałą po ich utracie.
