OPTIMASI EKSTRAKSI BUAH SENGGANI (Melastoma malabathricum L.) : APLIKASI DESAIN FAKTORIAL DAN PEMERIKSAAN KADAR ANTOSIANIN

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Antosianin merupakan pewarna makanan alami yang memiliki sifat antioksidan. Antosianin terdapat pada buah, bunga, dan daun tumbuhan hijau, salah satunya adalah buah senggani (Melastoma malabathrium L.) Antosianin diekstraksi menggunakan jenis pelarut dan asam yang sesuai. Penambahan asam pada pelarut berfungsi untuk mengoptimalkan hasil ekstraksi antosianin. Tujuan: Menetapkan pengaruh jenis pelarut dan waktu ekstraksi serta kondisi optimum ekstraksi Metode: Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Farmasi STIKES ‘Aisyiyah Palembang pada Juni hingga Agustus 2022. Jenis penelitian eksperimental dilakukan menggunakan metode UAE pendekatan desain faktorial 22. Faktor yang dioptimasi jenis pelarut dan waktu ekstraksi. Respon yang diamati meliputi rendemen (%) dan kadar total antosianin (mg/L) Hasil: Kondisi optimum ekstraksi antosianin buah senggani menggunakan pelarut metanol-HCl 1% waktu 20 menit. Nilai desirability kondisi optimum sebesar 0,917. Prediksi rendemen kondisi optimum sebesar 7,35% dan kadar antosianin sebesar 0,45mg/L Saran: Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut terkait sistem penghantaran obat pembawa ekstrak buah senggani serta aplikasi ekstrak buah senggani pada produk obat, pangan dan kosmetik.
