Cultural Particularism in Globalized World: Implication of Asabiyyah in a Minority Context

Abstract

Kuresellesme, temelinde Avrupalilik olan tek kultur birligini desteklerken, yerli kulturel birlikteligin de onune gecmektedir. Yerli kulturun bozulmasi Musluman azinliklar arasinda gerilim olusturmaktadir. Bu makale Ibn Haldun’un asabiyet kavramini ve bu kavramin gayri muslim ulkelerde yasayan Muslumanlar uzerindeki uygulamalarini incelemektedir. Asabiyet kavrami, toplumsal dayanismayi inanc ve etnik koken temelli birlik olarak tanimlar. Eger toplumun uyeleri arasindaki asabiyet bagi guclu ise toplumun kulturu korunmus olur. Arastirmada, asabiyet perspektifinden Said Nursi’nin Turkiye’deki kulturel dayanismayi koruma metodu ve Sri Lanka’daki Musluman azinliklar arasindaki asabiyetin kuvvetlenmesini saglayacak benzer yontemlerin kullanilmasi ihtimali incelenmistir.
