Escolaridade e trabalho

Abstract

Este artigo discute formas de inserção e escolaridade de jovens brasileiros entre os anos de 2006 e 2013. O objetivo é investigar mecanismos de reprodução da desigualdade de gênero, raça e de renda num período positivo da economia para os trabalhadores, por meio das diferenças nas formas de inserção no mercado de trabalho de diferentes grupos de jovens. A metodologia adotada analisou dados secundários produzidos pelo IPEA e OIT, a partir da pesquisa por amostragem do IBGE. O período estudado permite identificar processos de renovação da desigualdade, apesar da ampliação de acesso ao ensino e da criação de novas vagas no mercado de trabalho. Os resultados revelam processos de desigualdade que prejudicam jovens pretos e pardos e os de menor renda, com dificuldade de acesso ao ensino e inserção precária no mercado de trabalho, as jovens trabalhadoras, por sua vez, apesar dos elevados anos de estudo, se inserem em posição mais frágil que homens.
