EL LIBRO COMO UMBRAL: PERITEXTOS Y METALEPSIS EN DOS COLECCIONES DE ROWLING Y LACOMBE/PEREZ

Abstract

En la literatura para niños y jóvenes existe una práctica ya consolidada de aprovechar los peritextos (Genette, 2001) como componentes portadores de significado que intervienen en la construcción del sentido de la obra. Con la creciente ubicuidad de los dispositivos de pantalla y la emergencia de los libros y textos digitales, la materialidad y los peritextos sobresalen aún más como rasgos distintivos de los libros impresos. En este trabajo hemos seleccionado un corpus de libros impresos infanto-juveniles que integran sus peritextos a la ficción y que, a través de una estrategia narrativa que involucra la intertextualidad y la metalepsis, se vuelven objetos lúdicos en sí mismos: por un lado, la colección de dos libros álbum titulada Genealogía de una bruja, de Benjamin Lacombe y Sébastien Perez; por el otro, los tres libros “complementarios” a la saga Harry Potter, de J. K. Rowling, agrupados bajo el título Biblioteca Hogwarts, es decir, Quidditch a través de los tiempos, Animales fantásticos y dónde encontrarlos y Los cuentos de Beedle el Bardo. El objetivo es analizar los mecanismos narrativos que se despliegan a través de los peritextos y situar dichos procedimientos en relación con el contexto de producción de la era digital.
