The paper describes the history of the Bernardine Monastery complex and in particular its appearance and functions. The author made an attempt to reconstruct the layout of the buildings from the time when the Act of the Union of Lublin was signed. The article describes and presents in an interdisciplinary way the changes that took place in the structure of the complex and the phases of its transformation.
