La soledad de las hormigas

Abstract

Muchos escritores de minificción tienden a retarse a sí mismos para superar la hazaña de Monterroso en su prolífico minicuento El dinosaurio. Perseguir la fecundidad de la síntesis se convierte, entonces, en una obsesión, un ir hacia atrás, alcanzar la semilla bigbángica. Esta obra, la soledad de las hormigas, no es la excepción a este juego con la tradición y la apuesta contemporánea. De acuerdo con la metáfora del título, el libro presenta una estructura similar a un camino de hormigas: las primeras narraciones son apenas de unas cuantas palabras, luego se extienden en renglones y párrafos que, poco a poco, conforman una colonia. Recorrer estos pasillos minúsculos conduce al encuentro con los elementos de la infancia: las travesuras, la ternura y los ritos de iniciación. En el telón de fondo se percibe una atmósfera densa, un peso oscuro. La colonia parece, retomando a Cortázar -a quien se hacen varios guiños aquí-, una colonia tomada.
