
Objetivo: analizar el timpanismo en ganado bovino. Método: Descriptivo documental. Conclusión: El timpanismo en ganado bovino es una condición multifactorial que requiere una comprensión integral de sus causas, incluyendo factores anatómicos, microbiológicos y ambientales, para su prevención y manejo efectivo. Los estudios revisados destacan la importancia de una intervención rápida en casos agudos, la gestión adecuada del pastoreo para evitar la ingestión de plantas tóxicas, y el potencial de la modulación del microbioma ruminal como una estrategia novedosa de prevención.
