¿Puede un niño/a sordo/a aprender a solfear o leer e interpretar música con un instrumento? La respuesta es sí. Los resultados conseguidos con una alumna hipoacúsica con implante coclear así lo demuestran. La belleza de los sonidos llega a nuestro oído por vibraciones, es el cerebro a través de las vibraciones producidas por el tambor del oído interno el que traduce o interpreta esas vibraciones. Un hipoacúsico o un sordo pueden perfectamente sentir las mismas vibraciones aunque no puedan traducirlas, incluso serían vibraciones receptivamente distintas a las nuestras pero fundamentalmente reconocibles e identificables, lo cual es básico para el aprendizaje de la música.
