Die Pfeilspitzen von Milet

Abstract

Im Verlauf der Ausgrabungen auf dem Kalabak- und Zeytintepe in Milet 1985 bis 1992 konnten mehrere hunderte Pfeilspitzen aufgesammelt werden, denen aufgrund ihrer Form die Zugehörigkeit zur Zerstörung Milets 494 v. Chr. durch die persische Armee zugesprochen wurde. Diese Zuweisung konnte anhand typologischer und stratigraphischer Merkmale untermauert werden. In diesem Artikel werden die Ergebnisse der mit verschiedenen Methoden durchgeführten Untersuchungen der Pfeilspitzen dargestellt.
