
Un des grands impératifs de l’enseignement et de l’apprentissage d’aujourd’hui inclut la nécessité de planification adéquate, recherche orientée ou pas, organisation, résolution de problèmes, analyse et évaluation dans une ambiance web. Le problème c’est la grande quantité d’information disponible et aussi le manque de confiance qui existe dans une grande partie de l’information disponible. Pour transformer l’information en connaissance il faut que les utilisateurs aient développé des compétences diverses au niveau de la littéracie de l’information parmi d’autres littéracies. Dans cet article nous présentons la stratégie FlexQuest pour promouvoir la littéracie de l’information et la flexibilité cognitive dans des niveaux avancés de connaissance. Un résumé de quelques recherches sur FlexQuest réalisées en contexte académique au Brésil et au Portugal est aussi présenté.

O problema é a grande quantidade de informação e por outro lado a falta de confiança que existe em grande parte da informação disponível. Para transformar a informação em conhecimento é necessário que os seus utilizadores tenham desenvolvido diversas competências ao nível da literacia da informação entre outras literacias. Neste artigo apresentamos a estratégia FlexQuest para promover a literacia da informação e a flexibilidade cognitiva a níveis avançados de conhecimento. É também apresentado um resumo de algumas investigações sobre FlexQuest realizadas no contexto académico no Brasil e em Portugal.
One of the main imperatives of todays teaching and learning includes the need of adequate planning, guided search, organisation, problem solving, analysis and assessment in Web environments. The problem is the excessive quantity of information and, on the other hand, the lack of confidence that exists on a great part of the information available. So as to transform information into knowledge it is necessary that their users have developed various competences at the level of information literacy, among others. In this article we present the FlexQuest strategy to promote information literacy and cognitive flexibility in advanced levels of knowledge. A summary of some studies on FlexQuest in the Brazilian and Portuguese academic contexts is also put forward.
