Un pamphlet anti-latin à Novgorod au XVe siècle ?

Abstract

Le Povest' o posadnike Dobryne est un recit generalement considere comme une oeuvre novgorodienne du XVe siecle redigee a partir d'une tradition orale plus ancienne. Il existe toutefois des opinions divergentes sur la date des deux versions conservees du texte. Selon l'auteur de cet article, ce recit ne presente aucun trait dialectal et denote une mauvaise connaissance du passe novgorodien. Il doit etre considere comme un pamphlet anti-latin d'inspiration moscovite, meme s'il utilise une legende novgorodienne, dont la tradition orale semble etre inconnue. Comme dans tous les ecrits anti-latins de la fin du XVe siecle, la cause de l'orthodoxie y est confondue avec la cause moscovite.
