L’économie politique du changement climatique

Abstract

La lutte contre les changements climatiques a inscrit à l’agenda économique, politique et social la décarbonisation du capitalisme. Or, le basculement vers un régime d’accumulation compatible avec la lutte contre les changements climatiques est porteur d’enjeux de richesse et de puissance colossaux et se posant à une échelle humaine et géopolitique inédite. Cet article inscrit les changements climatiques dans la dynamique du système qui les a produits : le capitalisme. La crise écologique constitue une manifestation de la crise du régime actuel d’accumulation au stade financiarisé et globalisé. Dès lors, la lutte contre les changements climatiques, loin d’être une question environnementale, devient une problématique de mode de développement tant au Nord qu’au Sud.
