Abstract

Dentro de la renovación contemporánea de la teoría de la literatura, la hispanística se caracteriza por no haber realizado todavía la necesaria crítica del positivismo, las ciencias del espíritu y las variantes de la interpretación idealista que se despliegan hoy en un pluralismo metodológico. Dado su valor sintomático, la concepción de la lectura de D. Alonso, fundador de la Escuela estilística española, la cual remite a un concepto de la ciencia de la literatura y de la literatura misma, es objeto de un análisis crítico que la sitúa dentro de la historia de los métodos, como una contribución a esa discusión aplazada hasta ahora.
