Abstract

Les enfants nés en France de ceux qu’on appelle si souvent harkis ne connaissent pas le même destin que leurs aînés qui vécurent en Algérie. Très peu nombreux à accéder à l’enseignement supérieur, inscrits dans des filières sans débouchés, ils vivent une situation d’acculturation qui ne bénéficie pas du support tangible de l’intégration (symbolique) du social d’origine comme ce fut le cas de ceux qui naquirent avant 1962. Malgré cette perte des repères et l’exclusion sociale dont ils sont victimes semble se dessiner aujourd’hui l’identité d’une minorité française musulmane décidée à prendre son destin en main.
