Analisis Kepribadian Tokoh Utama pada Novel Mirai no Mirai Karya Mamoru Hosoda

Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted to determine the psychological personality of the characters in the novel ‘Mirai no Mirai’ by Mamoru Hosoda. The research used is qualitative research with descriptive method. The data collection technique was carried out in three steps, namely observation, reading, and classifying. The theory is carried out using the literary psychology approach of Sigmund Freud's theory with primary and secondary data sources in the form of the novel ‘Mirai no Mirai’ in Japanese and the novel ‘Mirai no Mirai’ translated by Ninuk Sulistyawati. The main character's personality with the theoretical approach of Sigmund Freud who looks for aspects of the character's personality consisting of the id, ego, and superego. It was found that the unfulfilled id aspect showed an ego response that made the main character act by hitting his father. This was due to the character's weak superego structure. Keywords: Literature Psychology, Personality, Novel, ‘Mirai no Mirai’ Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk dapat mengetahui kepribadian psikologi tokoh pada novel ‘Mirai no Mirai’ karya Mamoru Hosoda. Penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskripstif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tiga langkah yaitu observasi, membaca, dan mengklasifikasi. Teori yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan psikologi sastra teori Sigmund Freud dengan sumber data primer dan sekunder berupa novel ‘Mirai no Mirai’ dalam bahasa Jepang dan novel ‘Mirai no Mirai’ terjemahan dari Ninuk Sulistyawati. Kepribadian tokoh utama dengan pendekatan teori Sigmund Freud yang mencari aspek-aspek kepribadian tokoh yang terdiri dari id, ego, dan superego. Ditemukan aspek id yang tidak terpenuhi menunjukkan respon ego yang membuat tokoh utama bertindak dengan memukul ayahnya. Hal ini disebabkan karena struktur superego yang lemah dari tokoh tersebut.
