Conhecimento de Probabilidade de Alunos do Ensino Médio após o Ensino

Abstract

Neste artigo estuda-se o conhecimento em Probabilidade de alunos brasileiros do ensino médio, após terem frequentado as aulas de Probabilidade. No estudo participaram 203 alunos do 3.º ano do ensino médio, que frequentavam uma escola pública e uma escola privada da região de Brasília. Os alunos resolveram várias questões de Probabilidades, das quais vamos aqui analisar duas. Em ambas as questões, de entre dois acontecimentos, os alunos deviam identificar o mais provável ou se eram ambos igualmente prováveis. Em termos de resultados, verificou-se um fraco desempenho dos alunos, claramente pior no caso dos alunos da escola pública. Fundamentalmente, os alunos basearam as respostas corretas na determinação de probabilidades ou na comparação do número de casos favoráveis, enquanto as respostas incorretas resultaram da equiprobabilidade de obter qualquer face do dado, ignorar a ordem dos resultados, comparar o número de bolas brancas e pretas e comparar probabilidades simples.
