Cyganie w Cyganku, czyli administracja państwowa wobec greckokatolickiej placówki duszpasterskiej w powiecie nowodworskim w województwie gdańskim w latach 1952–1956

Abstract

W 1948 r. na teren diecezji gdańskiej przybył kapłan greckokatolicki ks. Bazyli Hrynyk. Jeszcze w tym samym roku zaczął sprawować w Nowym Dworze Gdańskim nabożeństwa w rycie wschodnim dla Ukraińców przesiedlonych w ramach akcji „Wisła”. W 1952 r. osiadł w Cyganku, gdzie kontynuował pracę duszpasterską wśród katolików obrządku wschodniego. W 1954 r. ks. Hrynyk został aresztowany i skazany na sześć lat więzienia. Niezamieszkałą plebanię w Cyganku władze przekazały w 1955 r. Romom. Już jednak w 1956 r. decyzją prokuratury Romowie zostali z niej usunięci. Po uwolnieniu z więzienia ks. Hrynyk w tym samym roku ponownie zamieszkał w plebanii.
