A Study of the Structure of Impinging Jet

Abstract

For the study of a transient fuel jet injected into a diesel engine, it is important to analyze the growing processes of the jet. The air jet mixed with dry ice mist which was injected into atmosphere and impinged to a flat plate was taken image by CCD camera, and the velocity of the jet mixed with dry ice mist was measured by Laser Doppler Velocimeter(LDV). This study was perfomed to clarify the structure of impinging jet with these image and velocity.
