
Abstract AISI No. 660 is a heat-resistant iron-chromium-nickel alloy recommended for applications requiring high strength and good resistance to corrosion at temperatures up to 1300 F and for lower stresses at higher temperatures. This age-hardenable stainless steel has high resistance to oxidation in continuous service to 1500 F and in intermittent service to 1800 F. Its many high-temperature applications include jet-engine turbine wheels and blades, bolting and afterburner parts. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep and fatigue. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-382.
