Although the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde has operated a lunchtime program of one-act plays for four years, the format remains largely unexplored and unexploited. Producing two short-run plays annually cannot be regarded as indicative of serious company or audience interest. Unfortunately, no other group, French or English, has wanted to enter an area of entertainment that appears to be wide-open for entrepreneurial promotion.
