PONTOS KRALLIĞI BRONZ SİKKELERİ (VI. MİTHRADATES DÖNEMİ; İÖ, 111-63)

Abstract

İÖ, 298 yılında kurulan ve bağımsız olarak varlığını İÖ, 63 yılına kadar sürdüren Pon-tos Krallığı; İÖ, 63 yılından itibaren Roma’nın egemenliğini tanımak zorunda kaldı. Özellikle VI. Mithradates Eupator Dönemi’nde Roma ile çetin mücadelelere girildi. Artan masrafları karşılamak için bol miktarda sikke basıldı. Refahiye’de bulunan ve çoğunluğu Amisos (Samsun) ta basılan bronz sikkeler VI. Mithradates Eupator Dönemi’ne aittir.
