Within the phenomenon of Sex Work underlie numerous realities. Most of the approaches to this topic emphasize a socio-sanitary perspective oriented towards STD prevention disregarding other features. My intention is to go beyond this particular point of view and to include other important dimensions. This will enable to understand Male Sex Work as a complex system of attitudes and decision-making process. Furthermore, the subjects of my research have been very difficult to locate and go into detail about, since they are a strongly under-registered and invisible group -unlike Female Sex Work- due to the different kind of prejudices, stereotypes and stigmas that underlie this phenomenon; and therefore they keep being overlooked by the society.
