Abstract

Käsillä oleva Avain tarkastelee monipuolisesti lukemista, lukijuutta sekä lukemisen ja kirjoittamisen vaikutuksia. Myös inhimillisen ja ei-inhimillisen kohtaamisen, representaation sekä tunteiden ja empatian kysymykset korostuvat. Feministiset, posthumanistiset ja empiirisen ekokritiikin lähestymistavat nostavat eri tavoin esiin kirjallisuuden vaikuttavuuden ulottuvuuksia, mutta välttävät kaikki taiteen välineellistä pelkistämistä.
