Abstract

Em sua nova obra, Sophía de Delos recria o Canto XI da Odisseia com uma tradução ousada, repleta de musicalidade e ritmo. Usando uma estrutura própria em redondilhas maiores, ela revitaliza o hexâmetro datílico de Homero, transportando o leitor para a jornada de Odisseu ao mundo dos mortos. Essa "poetoria", como ela chama sua criação de linguagem, transforma a experiência de leitura, tornando-a vibrante e atemporal. A escolha do Canto XI é estratégica e revelada. Neste episódio, Odisseu encontra grandes figuras do passado – entre elas, sua mãe Anticleia, a deusa Perséfone e heroínas como Tiro e Jocasta. Sob a pena de Sophía, essas personagens femininas ganham uma presença profunda e emotiva, ressaltando o papel fundamental das mulheres na linhagem dos heróis gregos e na reflexão sobre a mortalidade e a glória eterna. Com um estilo que flui como as ondas do mar homérico, Sophía de Delos firma-se como uma voz única na literatura brasileira, unindo erudição e crítica contemporânea. Seu trabalho é uma ponte viva entre o clássico e o moderno, reafirmando o poder da poesia em reimaginar a tradição e explorar a condição humana.
