Histórias Conectadas no Sul Global

Abstract

O livro Histórias conectadas no Sul Global tem como objetivo principal dar continuidade aos trabalhos realizados pelo corpo docente e discente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em História (PPGHIS) da Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana (UNILA), localizada em Foz do Iguaçu (Brasil). As perspectivas teórico-metodológicas adotadas por essa coletânea aproximam-se de tendências recentes da historiografia, especialmente a ultrapassagem das fronteiras historiográficas artificiais e as balizas nacionalistas/eurocêntricas. Dessa forma, dialogam, em especial, com as abordagens transnacionais, no objetivo de pensar as interações históricas entre diferentes sociedades e culturas, para além das fronteiras nacionais; com as histórias comparadas, visando a integração e o intercâmbio dos fenômenos históricos estudados; e, sobretudo, com as histórias (inter)conectadas, entendendo-as como uma modalidade da história social e cultural voltada ao estudo das “situações de contato” entre sociedades distantes, produzindo diálogos e intercâmbios entre unidades políticas, sociais e culturais em nível local, regional ou global; ou, ainda, na articulação da história social e da micro-história, a qual implica, por meio de um exercício de variação de escalas de análise, conectar estudos de caso a fenômenos macro-históricos com ênfase no Sul Global.
