Kairos involves both an understanding of thesociohistorically-informed present and a recognition ofpresent necessities. Examining the state ofinformation literacy scholarship, we argue we arewithin a kairotic moment where LIS scholars andlibrarians need to merge critical theories and criticalpractices to create a critical praxis of librarianship.
