
La competitividad es la capacidad de las organizaciones de responder a las necesidades que el mercado presenta, en busca de entregar mayores beneficios y colocarse como líder en el competitivo mundo empresarial. Es ahí donde hace su entrada la innovación, como proceso que se enmarca en la cultura tecnológica, artística, científica, filosófica u organizativa, y que se convierte en el motor de la competitividad. En el Ecuador, el camino para lograr empatar ambos conceptos en la práctica es aún largo y requiere de la implementación tanto de políticas estatales que faciliten el emprendimiento, como del trabajo de las empresas en generar ideas innovadoras que generen beneficios tangibles y económicamente viables.
