La terapia cognitiva – conductual y su aplicación en el abuso sexual infantil

Abstract

El abuso sexual infantil (ASI) representa un problema que deja consecuencias a largo plazo, tales como dificultades psicológicas, personales y sociales, que en la edad adulta pueden derivar en situaciones donde el individuo enfrentara conductas de riesgo como ansiedad, depresión, alcohol y drogas. El propósito de este estudio es conocer la eficacia de la aplicación de terapia cognitivo‐conductual (TCC) para abordar los casos de abuso sexual en la infancia. Para cumplir con este objetivo se utilizó el método descriptivo de carácter bibliográfico, el proceso investigativo de este tipo de documento se basó en las revisiones de treinta artículos y revistas de rigor científico a nivel local e internacional. Según el contenido de estos artículos, los resultados revelaron que las TCC contribuyen a reducir o eliminar los pensamientos suicidas cuando se trabaja a tiempo un trauma. A través de este tratamiento, se espera que los niños adquieran diversas habilidades para defenderse en la vida diaria. Por lo tanto, la TCC identifica síntomas como el trastorno de estrés postraumático, la depresión y los problemas de conducta que pueden indicar que el niño es víctima de ASI.
