Low Voltage Ride Through einer synchrongeneratorbasierten Windkraftanlage

Abstract

Due to the increased power penetration level of wind energy, wind turbines are now system-relevant components of the power supply. To ensure grid stability, especially during a symmetrical or asymmetrical voltage dip, wind turbines must provide low voltage ride through (LVRT) capability with simultaneous dynamic voltage support ability by feeding reactive currents. In this thesis, the development and implementation of the LVRT-capability of a grid-side full power converter of a variable-speed wind turbine based on a synchronous generator is discussed. In addition, an inverter based voltage sag generator as a laboratory test bench is designed.
