Die Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem kulturellen bzw. interkulturellen Vergleich der drei Universitätsromane Changing Places – A Tale of two Campuses (England) von David Lodge, Pictures from an Institution – A Comedy (Amerika) von Randall Jarrell und Dog Eat Dog (Südafrika) von Nicholas Mhlongo und analysiert die Darstellung von kultureller Identität in dem Genre des Universitätsromanes.
The diploma thesis describes the intercultural comparison of three campus novels from three different continents: England/Europe: David Lodge - Changing Places, America: Randall Jarrell - Pictures From An Institution and Africa: Niq Mhlongo - Dog Eat Dog and the analysis of the cultural identities of the main characters in the genre of the campus novel.
