Abstract

El análisis del funcionamiento cognitivo del pensamiento es central en las investigaciones de psicología cognitiva, inteligencia artificial y didáctica. Concierne, en particular, la representación, el razonamiento (argumentación, demostración, utilización de lenguajes formales), la interpretación de las figuras, la comprensión de textos, la resolución de problemas. La adquisición y el dominio de estas actividades intelectuales plantean problemas muy complejos en la enseñanza tanto de las matemáticas como de la lengua materna. Esta obra propone un análisis del funcionamiento cognitivo de esas actividades intelectuales a partir de observaciones y de experiencias en clase. Se desarrolla considerando las investigaciones realizadas en psicología cognitiva y en inteligencia artificial. Pone en evidencia la necesidad de una diversidad de registros de representación semióticos y las dificultades de su coordinación. Las relaciones entre la lengua natural y otros sistemas de representación ocupan un importante espacio en ella. Esta obra es de interés tanto para investigadores de distintas disciplinas que trabajan en la modelización de las actividades cognitivas, como para profesores de matemáticas y de lengua materna. La mayoría de análisis que se presentan están ilustrados con ejemplos.
