
El articulo trata de explorar las muchas posibilidades que ofrece e concepto sociologico de campo (tal y como ha sido formulado por Pierre Bourdieu) para los estudios de traduccion, haciendo especial referencia a la traduccion de autores clasicos griegos y latinos, sobre todo en Espana. Se discuten brevemente las relaciones entre las traducciones y la literatura de creacion; y se indican algunas pautas para un estudio empirico mas pormenorizado y cronologicamente acotado, de acuerdo con la orientacion teorica senalada.
