
Aim: The aim of this work is to study the diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue in Cyprus. Methods: The statistical methods were used to derive the results of this work are Student t-test in order to check the statistical significance of the diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue in relation to gender and One-way ANOVA test in order to check the statistical significance of these diseases in relation to age. Results: The results showed that there is no statistically significant difference in the number of the diseases of the musculoskeletal system in relation to gender, there is a statistically significant relationship between these disorders and age, and in particular they occur mainly at ages 65 and over. Conclusions: This study has shown that diseases of the musculoskeletal system differ in the incidence in terms of age. Moreover, from all the diseases of the musculoskeletal system, osteoarthritis holds the first place in deaths of both men and women.
