The relevance of the study is due to the need to study the vocabulary of dialects that preserve the original worldview of the nation, relics of spiritual culture, the mentality of the people, interlanguage relations with other peoples. The purpose of the scientific study is to characterize the features of the lexical system of Bukovinian dialects. The novelty of the scientific research lies in the fact that for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics the language material of the dialect p. Yuzhinets of the Kitsmansky district of the Chernivtsi region. The study used structural, comparative-historical research methods, component analysis technique. Findings. The basis of dialect vocabulary are dialectisms. The united cultural-figurative world of the Ukrainian nation is confirmed by dialectisms - primordially Ukrainian words for which the source is the Slavic language: VirEnya, Virytka videy, VitAti Galmani, Gachi, GloshIti, GrЄtka, ндUndzlik drAbi
