This paper presents a novel high-efficiency bidirectional zero-voltage-transition (ZVT) pulse-width-modulation (PWM) converter. By controlling the direction and timing of the resonant current injection, the main power switches can achieve zero voltage switching under various loads and various output voltage. Moreover, zero voltage switching eliminates the switching noise on the output voltage. Experimental results based on a 400W prototype are presented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed converter.
