The article discusses a survey of personnel and human resources management (PHRM) textbooks. The attitudes of faculty towards PHRM textbooks in a modern teaching environment are looked at. One of these challenges facing the editors and authors of PHRM textbooks is agreeing upon the nature of the ideal textbook. Textbooks can only present a limited amount of materials despite the wealth of research materials available to teachers. The article focuses on six PHRM textbooks and discusses the characteristics of each. The table of contents for each book is also presented.
