Abstract

Mr. William J. Sheffler of Los Angeles, California gave me an account of his experience with a cub bear that appears to me to warrant placing on record. Mr. Sheffler is a naturalist with a lifelong interest in animals and much experience in field collecting of birds and mammals of western United States and Mexico.
