Crescimento inicial e acúmulo de sódio em plantas de arroz submetidas à salinidade

Abstract

A análise de crescimento é um método acessível, de baixo custo e bastante preciso, utilizado para avaliar o crescimento vegetal em diferentes condições de ambiente de cultivo e manejo. Diante disso, objetivou-se avaliar o efeito da salinidade sobre o crescimento inicial e acúmulo de sódio no tecido vegetal de duas cultivares de arroz com diferentes níveis de tolerância à salinidade. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 2 x 2 (cultivares BRS Bojuru e IRGA 417, com e sem estresse salino) com cinco repetições. Para simular o estresse salino foi utilizada água com condutividade elétrica de 2 Ds m−1. As avaliações foram realizadas aos 10, 20, 30, 40 e 50 dias após a emergência (DAE), sendo avaliados os parâmetros: altura de planta, área foliar, matéria seca de parte aérea e teor de sódio. Para o cálculo das taxas assimilatórias líquidas (TAL), de crescimento relativo (TCR) e de crescimento da cultura (TCC), contemplaram-se os períodos de 10, 30 e 50 DAE. A salinidade reduz a altura da planta, área foliar e massa de matéria seca das plantas, enquanto aumenta o teor de sódio nos tecidos das cultivares. A cv. BRS Bojuru, submetida à salinidade, tem melhor resposta no início do crescimento que a cv. IRGA 417, e apresenta melhor taxa de crescimento relativo aos 30-50 DAE. A taxa assimilatória líquida não é influenciada pela salinidade no período de 30-50 DAE em ambas as cultivares.
